
The Central America region includes the countries of what is commonly known as Central America, the region which connects North America and South America, and the Caribbean islands. Following Christopher Columbus' discovery of the Americas, the Spanish Empire began conquering the Maya lands in 1520. The Spanish Conquests changed the culture of the region in which Roman Catholicism and other Spanish influences are currently very prominent.
BMAAM work in this region thrives on church planting and mission work in villages of Mayan and Aztecan descents who have never heard the Word of Jesus Christ. Another key to mission work in this region has been the success of medical mission work in which people are provided with medical care as well as spiritual counseling.
